Royal St Georges Left to Right Serge, Mike, Ed, Kym, Isi, Geoff and Andreas November 23rd & 24th 2009
The group return from a fantastic 2 day trip to play The Open Championship venues of Royal St Georges and Princes Golf Clubs with an overnight stay at The Kings Head in Deal.
In extremely windy conditions the courses were really showing their teeth, it was made all the more difficult on the greens as the balls were wanting to move. However, the groups spirits remained high and the banter was flowing. The accomodation at The Kings Head was great and the group all had sea views from their bedroom windows. Day 2 was the main event with 18 holes on Royal St Georges, always immaculate and a tougher test is hard to find. But the sun came out and the golf sparkled. After the the round we sat down to a full carvery in the clubhouse with the jacket and tie and there is no better dining experience for a classic English Golf Club. The 2 day event was won by Mr Ed Robinson, closely followed by Michael Blyth and Kym Edwards. Many thanks to all competitors.
